Encouraging Music in Cambridgeshire
To celebrate the opening of the new John Lewis, Cambridge, we’re supporting Cambridgeshire Music, providers of music services to 13,000 children and communities in Cambridgeshire.
This blossoming partnership, which began in 2007, has brought many benefits to music-loving children and their families throughout the county. Local orchestras and choirs – some of which specialise in jazz, folk and modern as well as classical music – have had the opportunity to come together and perform in public supported by professional musicians.
The young musicians show incredible enthusiasm and work so hard to prepare for and perform in these concerts. The experience increases their confidence and – we hope – will give many of them the impetus and inspiration to continue their musical careers into adulthood.
We’re very pleased to be holding a new season of concerts in 2008 (see below). Come and join in the fun!
